Dr. Lisa Piña is a dedicated emergency veterinarian with over 15 years of experience providing compassionate, high-quality care in fast-paced ER settings. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. Throughout her career, she has also served as a medical director, helping guide teams and improve clinical operations while mentoring young veterinarians entering the field. Certified in both RECOVER CPR and Fear Free practices, Dr. Piña is committed to reducing patient stress and improving outcomes in high-stake situations. Her clinical interests include trauma medicine, envenomations such as snake bites, and veterinary behavior – areas where calm, expert intervention can make a life-saving difference. Dr. Piña is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS). Known for her calm under pressure and her genuine care for both pets and their people, Dr. Piña brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to every case she handles.
